Welcome

To the museum where touching is learning

Our Philosophy

Aircraft are not for show, they are meant to be touched

The museum is open to all, whether you are new to aviation or not

All who want to help out have their place as a Museum Friend

We want to make aviation approachable to everyone

We are one of the few museums worldwide that allow free entry to its aircraft cockpits

Flying today has become so routine that we sometimes forget the magic that is rising into the air like a bird, and soaring through the sky. We want to show you all aspects of aviation in an approachable way; so that you feel completely at home.

Our aircraft are restored selflessly by our volunteers: we gladly open their doors for you, because we believe sitting at a pilot's seat is an enriching experience.

What they say about us

I want to work here!

-Daniel, 5 years old

After years of memorising math formulas, I've finally been able to touch the aircraft and engines I studied

-Patricia, engineering student

We recover parts that seem scrap, and today they shine on a centre stage

-Jordi, museum friend

I was not expecting such a big museum. My son has left his pilot's badge on all night

-Mercedes, teacher

The most fun way of letting go of my fear of flying. It's hard to believe a museum like this is free

-Juan Antonio, cook

I enjoyed so much seeing the joy and passion of the restorers, I became one of them

-Jose, museum friend

Museum Friends

The blood that powers the museum

Museum Friends

The blood that powers the museum

The museum breathes thanks to the donations and the invaluable volunteering help from the Museum Friends.

Teachers, painters, lawyers, historians, students, bus drivers, electricians, retirees, judges, shop-keepers, engineers, pilots, flight attendants, car mechanics, aircraft technicians, TV A/V specialists ...

Each adds their little grain of salt and excitement to restore, improve, and create something that everybody can enjoy.

Join us!

Everybody is welcome: Our willingness to help out brings us together, along with our passion for aviation and the museum.

Your level of skill or knowledge is not important: we are here to have fun and learn from each other.
